Rakshabandhan Puja Method:
- On the day of Rakhi, first of all take a bath in the morning and become holy and bow to the deities. After this, worship the deities of your clan.
- Then take a plate, if you want, you can also take silver, brass, copper or steel plate. Then place Rakhi, Akshat and Roli in this plate.
- First of all, keep the Rakhi plate at the place of worship and offer the first Rakhi to Bal Gopal or your Ishta Devta.
Method of tying Rakhi:
- Now start the process of tying the rakhi. For this, make the brother sit facing the east direction.
- Keep in mind that while tying Rakhi, there should be a handkerchief on the brother's head.
- Then the sister should put a tika on her brother's forehead and apply some intact to that.
- -Spray some intact brother as a blessing.
- Then light the lamp and perform the aarti of the brother. This sister does this to take away the eyes of her brother.
- After this, say this mantra while tying a rakhi on the right wrist of sister brother. 'Om yen badho bali king danavendro mahabalah. Ten tvampi badhnami raksha ma chal ma chal.
- Now brothers and sisters sweeten each other's mouth.
- If sister is elder then brother should touch her feet and if sister is younger then she should touch brother's feet and get his blessings.
