Even in places where there is news of further damage, teams are constantly working to move trapped people to safety.
"We are informing the general public that the Rishiganga power project in the Tapovan Rainy area has been severely damaged due to glaciers, so the water level in the rivers is constantly rising," Chamoli district police said. As a result, people living along the Alaknanda river have been appealed to move to safer places quickly.
