Glacier eruption is reported in Raini in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The Dhauli river is said to have flooded due to the eruption of the glacier. Chamoli Superintendent of Police Yashwant Singh Chauhan said information was coming in that there was a lot of damage. But the situation is not yet clear. The rescue team has been dispatched to the spot. In Uttarakhand, the SDRF team is working to rescue people living on the river banks so that all the people can be taken to safer places. Even in places where there is news of further damage, teams are constantly working to move trapped people to safety.

"We are informing the general public that the Rishiganga power project in the Tapovan Rainy area has been severely damaged due to glaciers, so the water level in the rivers is constantly rising," Chamoli district police said. As a result, people living along the Alaknanda river have been appealed to move to safer places quickly.
